We are excited to share our first eating bar, the Cacao Bar.

It's a blend of our ceremonial cacao from Bolivia we offered last summer and Allulose, an all-natural sweetener. After finding these wonderful beans, we knew they would be the perfect flavor profile with their rich chocolate notes and low bitterness. The bar is blended to have a cacao-forward flavor, (not a sugar-laden one), so it tastes like a dark, 85% bar. Wonderfully tasty!

Tasting Notes: Big bold rich earthy cacao, with secondary notes of fruit.

Allulose is classified as a natural 'rare sugar'. Figs, beets, corn, and raisins have small quantities of allulose. As it's a natural sweetener, it has the mouthfeel of sugar but "at least 90% is excreted by the kidneys without being metabolized. This means that in a functional sense allulose has 95% fewer calories than sucrose and is why the FDA determined in 2019 that it does not need to be listed under total or added sugar." So you get to experience the sweetness, but not the negative health effects of conventional sugars.

Allulose cacao bar

The flavor is a little off and unfortunately even with allulose made a big jump in my glucose levels when it’s supposed to be low glycemic. I’ll prob try their ceremonial cacao though!

Thanks for the feedback! We're always looking to improve the flavor of this new bar.
I've followed up privately as well about the blood sugar experience, as we're super curious to know what your experience was. Allulose has been tested in this regards, and we've even run those tests on ourselves, so we'd love to hear more!

Love embue

The best quality cacao I have found. I use it ceremonially sometimes in the morning, very beneficial to my life. And I appreciate that it is so ethically sourced.

Pure Cacao Flavor

Alto Beni, Amazon, Bolivia

Deep in the Amazon basin, this cacao is grown by 500 smallholder farmers of the Agroecological Cooperative of Alto Beni (CIAAB). The varietals are Hybrid, mostly Trinitario, and Nativo (wild). Great care is taken in the growing conditions to nurture these beans towards their amazing rich flavor profile.

Micro Batches

These amazing beans are hand crafted in micro batches to draw out the rich cacao notes. We roast in small batches to ensure consistency, grind in a stone melanger to get that silky cacao liquid and then temper in the final mould so you hear that wonderful snap as you break off a piece.
