Pumpkin Spice Hot Cacao Drink

As the weather cools down and fall is upon us, we love having some decadent variations on our daily cacao drink, and this Pumpkin Spice Hot Cacao definitely hits the spot. This drink is easy to make and will warm your body and soul!
Why we love this recipe with our cacao
Our ceremonial cacao is 100% cacao. That means, unlike cocoa powder, it isn't over processed & defatted. It's full of nutrients and the cacao butter is still present, which turns the classic pumpkin spice hot chocolate into a rich delicacy. Using these simple ingredients alongside our cacao makes for a healthy & decadent drink.
Pumpkin Spice Hot Cacao Drink

Rich, Decadent and Tastes Like Fall!
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp pre-chopped bar or Ceremonial Cacao Powder
- 5 ounces water
- 1 ounce coconut milk
- 1 heaping tablespoon pumpkin puree
- 2 teaspoons honey (or more to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice (1/8 t. cinnamon, 1/8t. ginger, dash nutmeg, dash clove, dash allspice)
- Optional coconut cream for whipped topping
Directions
- Heat water in a pot to join before boil
- Add all other ingredients
- Whisk until frothy
- Optional whipped coconut cream: chill cream in the fridge overnight. Scoop hardened cream into a bowl (leaving the clear liquid behind). Whisk by hand or with an electric hand mixer
- Serve drink hot & top with coconut cream
- Sprinkle cacao shavings & cinnamon on top to decorate
