Quit Coffee, Drink Ceremonial Cacao

Stimulant Profile

Cacao's active ingredient is theobromine instead of caffeine, providing a gentler sustained energy boost without jitters or crashes. Theobromine dilates blood vessels, improving circulation and sustaining energy for longer periods compared to caffeine’s short-lived effects. Coffee’s caffeine constricts blood vessels, potentially causing anxiety and dependency.
Caffeine is a nervous system stimulant, whereas theobromine is a cardiovascular stimulant. Too much caffine causes nervous system overstimulation. Theobromine feels more like a “holistic high”, a heightened state of well-being.
Cardio Health

- Lower Blood Pressure: Flavonoids in cacao can help reduce blood pressure by promoting the production of nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels.
- Improved Circulation: Regular consumption may enhance blood flow to the heart and brain, potentially lowering the risk of heart diseases.
- Cholesterol Management: Cacao can lower levels of LDL (bad cholesterol) while raising HDL (good cholesterol), contributing to better overall lipid profiles.
Research indicates that drinking two or more cups of coffee daily may significantly increase the risk of cardiovascular incidences.

Micro nutrients in cacao improve mood, reduce stress and acts as a natural anti-depressant. Coffee can cause anxiety and crashes, which affect mood negatively. Coffee lacks these mood-enhancing compounds and may exacerbate anxiety.

Our Story

Over a decade ago, as seasoned explorers in the inner realms and conscientious foodie’s, we found ourselves in the tropics, drinking chocolate around a fire. Effortlessly falling in love with everyone at the gathering, we knew immediately there was something more going on than the chocolate we were used to. We had been introduced to cacao ceremony with the use of high quality cacao.
We felt an instant connection with this plant medicine and have been working with it since, finding it to be a great teacher & facilitator, as well as an integral part of a healthy diet. After working with this medicine more deeply and visiting the communities in Mesoamerica we decided that we wanted to share this beautiful plant and its healing properties with people up here in the north. Embue cacao was born as our way of helping spread the cacao love and our passion for all things cacao.
